Like all the Wursthif knives we own, this is an excellent knife.Well balanced and easy to use.The handle is very comfortable compared to a lot of knives.

It was said that Wusthof and Henckels make the best knives and this couldn't have been a better testament to their quality.I'm amazed everyday how sharp it's edge is - at least my fingers are - and expect it to hold up just as long as I keep honing its sharpness.

I admit I was afraid of the price but most people need to realize that when they buy items this high quality, they will buy items that will last them a lifetime.Please, don't be afraid of the price and get this knife if you want the best.

My husband just bought me a small Wusthof set for Christmas. We are currently living in our basement and finishing the upstairs so I thiught, "I will just try this knife, but save it for my fancy upstairs kitchen. Oh, no. I own a fairly "nice" Farberware set, but it does not compare. It's like going back to the stone age. And I can work so fast with my Wusthof! The comparison is like a Porche to a Chevy diesel truck. If you need a new set, but think this is too much, just buy this chef knife, a paring knife, and a bread knife.

This knife is vastly superior to my old Chicago Cutlery chef knife. It mows through everything I put in front of it, posesses plenty of weight without being cumbersome, and is samurai sharp. It will outlive me, most likely.
