George Carlin - You Are All Diseased

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Another Dead Hero
When Carlin hits the stage it's always magic. He can do or say no wrong, IMO. You Are All Diseased is one of my all time favorites. If you're just getting into Carlin...this is a good place to start.

R.I.P. George....You will missed :(

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Carlin Is Mesmerizing
George Carlin has been a long time favorite of mine. I think that he is
simply one of the greatest comedians in the world. (Just so you get a glimpse of my taste: I'm also a huge admirer of Steven Wright, Peter Cook
and the Monty Python team.) So it's no surprise that I find "You Are All
Diseased" a completely hysterical experience.

Mr. Carlin has a great advantage: his voice in itself is funny. And being the mature, wise master that he is, he knows how to use it. Not to mention
his facial expressions and body language. His performance is breathtakingly mesmerizing from start to finish. There's not one frame of the entire footage that is not interesting. George Carlin is a true comedy
genious.

One may not necessarily agree with absolutely everything he says. For example I would never pick up food from the floor and eat it, plus I'm a gigantic Steely Dan fan. But it simply doesn't matter: you still laugh
because you're watching an incredible comedian being utterly hilarious.

Mr. Carlin knows that it's not enough to tell it like it is. That's journalism. He is a comedian. He has to be funny. And funny he is. Always.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - A Little Strong On The Cuss.
In the tradition of Lenny Bruce & Richard Pryor, George Carlin spews out a spam of swearing interspersed with his usual outstanding social diatribe (rather, included w/in his diatribe). In my middle years now (I'm 47), my tendency is to rent/buy/watch Pixar & Disney films, Bill Cosby & Jon Stewart ("Daily Show").I've a few DVDs (and "leftover" VHS)in my library of Mr. Carlin's genius (and he IS a genius). This selection of his, ".. Diseased" will be "it" for a while, though.Basically, George is the last of his breed, the last of the angry young men of his generation of comic teachers. He's the best that's left. With the good cop/bad cop scenario in mind, George was/is the bad cop, and Cosby was/is the good cop.Meanwhile, there's Carlos Mencia, e.g., the newest "Diatribe Man".There are others, but I really like Carlos -- if I want cussing from a younger example of comic genius.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Carlin Rules!
In my opinion this is some of the best of George Carlin. The meaner he gets the more I like him, and in this show he's on the attack. He makes some jokes about political humor, but Carlin is no politician and he has no agenda, its just pure standup and a look at things through the eyes of George.
