When I purchased this movie, I was still using my Sony XBR Rear Projection HDTV and PS3 for Blu-Ray.It was a nice picture.Since then, I purchased a Samsung 46" 605 Series Flat Screen.This has the 120 hz capability which turns 60 frames into 120 frames and is smooth as ice.This movie is so realistic.Even if you don't have the up to date equipment it's still a great blu-ray movie.

Black Hawk Down. What can I say? This movie is flawless. Absolutley flawless. Maybe better than Saving Private Ryan. You have to admit, Saving Private Ryan was great, but Black Hawk Down is greater. People that say say Black Hawk Down isn't good, Your not right in the head. Everyone in this move is awesome. From Josh Hartnett to Ewan mcGregor. I have a note to Josh Hartnett, Keep up with the war movies Josh. Pearl Harbor might not have been good, but he was good in it.Before I get off the subject lets talk about the movie. The two hour strait fighting scenes are good. The acting is good. The sound is good. The special effects are good. What's there to talk about? This Movie comes out on DVD on June 11. See the friken movie. You won't be angry.

This is one of my favorite movies about some true heroes. The soldiers in this movie were truly inspiring and will never be forgotten.

Rating: - Where Are the Dead Somalis?
This is a well made film with compelling visuals shot in Africa, very good sound effects that depict the deadly noises of combat and a tight storyline.
The film, like the book, fails to depict the numbers of Somalis killed in the fighting.Large numbers of Somali civilians died in the US v. Aidid militia combat.Aidid's militia wore no uniforms and mingled amidst civilians, but massive US firepower did kill many innocents.
The gruesome dragging of dead US servicemen received and continues to receive attention but the dead Somalis are basically invisible.Ridley Scott does present a few scenes of Somali suffering, such as the opening shot where starving villagers are shot up by a Technical .50 Cal, a young boy accidentally zaps his gun wielding father and a Somali man cradling a dead child walks by a retreating US HummVee.
A famous war cameraman, whose name I can't remember, stated in interviews that huge numbers of Somali elders and children perished under US air strikes and that led to the murder of an American cameraman.
