I bought this canner to replace a 34-year old Model 7B.I am really pleased with the new canner.It is much faster than my old one, heats up faster, cools down faster, and does the job wonderfully well.The dial gauge is no problem, just takes a little adjustment.Be very careful adjusting electric heat because sharp increases and decreases in heat can cause liquid to boil out of jars.I received this canner from Amazon much faster than I thought I would, based on their estimate.They really try to get things out fast.All in all, this is definitely a great purchase.
