Amazon.com Review:
Although this book was around when many of today's parents were youngsters,it has remained a steadfast must-have in every toddler's library. Forstarters, it's a great vocabulary guide that names the many things that go(and some that haven't a prayer of going, but are great fun to imagineanyway). It's also teeming with detail-rich scenes and characters onevery page, teaching children the rewards of looking long and closely (suchas finding the hidden "Goldbug" in each spread). Along the way itentertains with the silly and slapstick--everything from toothpaste andtoothbrush cars to six fire department vehicles that show up to extinguisha ladybug-size fire in a miniature pink convertible. What's most amazingabout this book, however, is its longevity. When you purchase it for yourfledgling talker, you should consider it an investment. Even 11-, 12-, and13-year-olds are known to pore over the book nostalgically, cooing at LowlyWorm and eagerly tracking Officer Flossie's book-long chase after thatirresponsible, speedster driver in a cowboy hat. (Ages 2 and older)--Gail Hudson

- My daughter loves The Goldbug Hunt
My 2-year old daughter *loves* this book, especially finding Goldbug. Although now she's done it so many times, she remembers where he is on each page, so even though it's still fun for her, it's lost a little of the mystery. Can anyone recommend any similar proto-'where's waldo'-type books for toddlers?

- Cars and Trucks and Things That Go
My grandson loves the book. He's into trucks, etc., and the abundance and variety of moving vehicles is fascinating to him.

- things that go
Wonderful book. Lots to look at and discuss. My son cannot get enough of this book. It has been his favorite forat least three months so far! We wore out a yard sale copy and bought a new one! It is a great distraction in the car and at restaurants. Excellent at bedtime. Richard Scarry is great.

- A hit with my 2-year-old
I bought this book for my 2-year-old son and he loves it.He is into trucks and cars and wouldn't put this down.He now knows about all kinds of trucks. There isn't much of a story. He just likes looking at and saying all of the different trucks (such as a flatbed trailer).
Rating:
- Great for kids who love trucks
My son loves Richard Scarry books and construction equipment so this book is a good match. He pores over the pictures looking for Goldbug and pointing out funny things like Hilda Hippo driving a loader.
