Amazon.com Review:
The Case for Christ records Lee Strobel's attempt to"determine if there's credible evidence that Jesus of Nazareth reallyis the Son of God." The book consists primarily of interviews betweenStrobel (a former legal editor at the Chicago Tribune) andbiblical scholars such as Bruce Metzger. Each interview is based on asimple question, concerning historical evidence (for example, "Can theBiographies of Jesus Be Trusted?"), scientific evidence, ("DoesArchaeology Confirm or Contradict Jesus' Biographies?"), and"psychiatric evidence" ("Was Jesus Crazy When He Claimed to Be the Sonof God?"). Together, these interviews compose a case brief defendingJesus' divinity, and urging readers to reach a verdict of their own.

Product Description:
Using the dramatic scenario of an investigative journalist pursuing his story and leads, Lee Strobel uses his experience as a reporter for the Chicago Tribune to interview experts about the evidence for Christ from the fields of science, philosophy, and history. Winner of the Gold Medallion Book Award and twice nominated for the Christian Book of the Year Award.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Neanderthal
This book is not a case for anything, Lee Strobel is exploiting insipid people to advance his career, I found his intellectual dishonesty so revolting that I could not finish this book.He entertains no real criticisms, the book was obviously not meant to be a case to convince non-theists.A better title for this book would be, "An Exercise in Pandering, Insignificant Musings on Christ with Bold Arguments from Authority, Familiarity, and Comfort".I don't see how it could convince anyone, but ... Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Should be called the mistake for christ...
This is a horribly written book, with contradictions within chapters, and no fact checking done.

Take these two quotes from chapter three:
"And this is something else that favors the New Testament. We have copies commencing within a couple of generations of the originals, whereas in the case of other ancient texts, maybe five, eight, or ten centuries elapsedbetween the original and the earliest surviving copy."

Then later talking about the earliest found fragments(not ... Read More

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Watch Lee Strobel pretend to be a skeptic.
Welcome to The Case for Christ, an investigation into the Christian faith with all the intellectual rigor of a teen study Bible. Join Lee Strobel as he examines the evidence from all sides by interviewing theologically conservative male Christians. You'll be astonished by the pronouncements of scholars who don't cite their sources, who appeal to proof-by-martyrdom, who regard early church creeds as evidence of historical events, and and who think first-century Jews believed in Hell. Please keep your hands ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - The case for Christ
If you ever thought that Jesus Christ was just a regular man and that it was a good story but that is all.....read this book. Les Strobel takes you on a trip to find the truth. He is very thorough and even surprises himself when he uncovers the facts and the history that has been recorded in several places to confirm events which took place. You will be amazed at the conclusion you will come up with after reading this book. If you know someone who has little faith in Christ, just dare them to read this book.

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - I was a Christian when I read this book, but after further research, I became an Atheist.
This book was the beginning of my search into the truth of Christianity.I was a staunch fundamentalist Christian for the first 26 years of my life.I believed all of Christianity, from 6 literal day creation to the virgin birth and everything in between.I read this book because I had argued with some Atheist friends, and I wanted more evidence to support my religion.I let myself be comforted by this book, even though I knew the fact that Strobel completely ignores opposing viewpoints greatly weakened his ...
