Marked is an exciting story that is thrilling and intriguing.The character development is superb with some crass language.It is easy to relate to many of the relationships and situations in this book as well as the entire series.

Many times people read reviews or the back of the book to see what its all about. However, thats why so many complain that everything coming up in the series is obvious. The whole plot is written on the back cover, and I hate when publishers do that, because then the reader knows everything so the book may loose their interest, or oftentimes the plot is slightly different from what the book says it is so people are 'disappointed'. I wanted desperately to love this book.I needed a new vampire series to hold me over while I waited for the next Vampire Academy novel to come out and I was hoping to add this series to my addiction.While the premise and plot of this book seemed interesting, I couldn't stand the writing style.Okay, okay, we get it...the authors are "down with the youth" and can speak just like them.We didn't need the repetitive stupid side comments and innuendos placed in parenthesis every other sentence. ... Marked was a book that took me awhile to read. I had to make myself keep reading until I got to about the 15th chapter then I couldn't stop reading.

Zoey Redbird is a 16 year old girl. I have read every book in this series so far.And I so far think that Zoe Redbird is a caring yet shelfish charter.The series it self is interesting to say the least I however dont know about the vampires also being witches thing going on there....
