Best bread I have ever made, and hubby declares it also!You do need the pizza peel and stone, altho i did manage ok with using a cast iron pancake griddle to put the bread dough to rise on and then just put same griddle in the oven to bake on, tricky, but like I said-BEST bread ever!

The proof of the pudding, so to speak, is that my young grandchildren actually ask for it--and they can be picky eaters. My husband thinks the French boule is the best bread he's ever eaten.

This book has got me back in the kitchen! My colleagues at work are constantly asking me now to bake bread for them (from this book). Who would have thought that a whole area would stop working so they do not miss out on tasting my bread! The other day even though a lady had the flu, she would not go home till she tasted the three breads I brought in. Even my kids ask for it. You certainly do not get that reaction from commercially baked bread.
