It was a little lower keyed than the last Sookie Sackhouse book, but was entertaining anyway.

From Dead to Worse (Southern Vampire Mysteries, Book 8)
Can't wait for more and the books are so much better than the HBO Series
(which only cover one book a season we'll never get to see the whole series of books). And the books are so much more insightful. Loved them!

As a recent convert to the Stackhouse universe, I was excited to dive into this book.I've gobbled up the last 7 in record time and enjoyed them all.But this entry into the series left me feeling let down.There was no unifying mystery, no unifying theme. . . it was really just a rambling meander through the second autumn of Sookie Stackhouse.I felt a bit like Dorothy in Oz - "things come and go so quickly around here."The were-war was abrupt, the switch in the vampire regime was even more ... After having read the entire series of Sookie Stackhouse books, I was ready for this one.The author does not disappoint.Am hoping for many more.

I was very disappointed with this book.As I have reads others say in the review, there was no plot to the book.It felt to me as if I was reading a collection of short stories, and that is not what I bought.I bought a book, a novel - not short stories.Anytime anything interesting started happening, it was resolved within the next few pages.
