Product Description:
When Lauren Stillwell discovers her husband leaving a hotel room with another woman, she decides to beat him at his own game. But while she's sneaking around, her husband is hatching a plan of his own. After a torrid quickie with a co-worker, Lauren hears a struggle outside her window and looks out just in time to see her husband loading her lover's limp body into the trunk of a car. When the body shows up in a pool of shallow water, she races to the scene of the crime. But Lauren Stillwell is no regular wronged woman. She's a NYC cop--and she's just been assigned to this case. Unable to tell anyone what she saw and unwilling to turn her husband in, Lauren is paralyzed by a secret that will tear her life apart. But as she attempts to point fingers away from her husband, she uncovers something shocking: her husband didn't have an affair--what he did was far worse than she could have ever imagined. A gripping story of secrets and infidelities that begins where Adrian Lyne's movie Unfaithful leaves off, THE QUICKIE will have readers' hearts pounding to the very last page.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - LOVED IT!!!
I cannot believe that anyone would give this book a bad review.I have passed it on to all my friends and family and everyone loved it!!!I am a big fan of James Patterson and this is his best book to date, twists and turns till the very end!! I love a book that shocks you at the end and this one delivers!!

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Wow! Does this book suck....
Awful. Totally unbelievable plot. Twists and turns are great fun, but come on...JP is just a bad writer, how this guy keeps making money off his books, I don't know. The heroine was just so lucky, nobody would read this story and think it believable, so glad I didn't spend money on this garbage. And could do without the annoying soundtrack on the audio. It actually made it worse, (if that's possible).

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - The Quickie by James Patterson
This was another typical JP book; held my interest and was a quick read. I really enjoyed many of the twists throughout the book and, while it is by far not the best book I've read by Patterson, I did enjoy it. I purchased the book used through Amazon and am glad I got such a great price since it is such a quick book to read.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - You've GOT to be KIDDING me!
I was looking for a book, any book to read, and this one jumped out at me. Probably the nasty looking cover and GIANT title. I read the back and figured, what the heck...

This was a VERY fast read, and reads like a 13 year old wrote it. I was stunned that the main character of the book met with so much "good luck". I know those in law enforcement look out for each other, but it was a bit much in this book. All the "happily ever after" B.S was a load of crap! I didn't even want to like ... Read More

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Don't say what you wouldn't do for love, review from Sisterhood Book Club
James Patterson & Michael Ledwidge came up with the right title for this great book that is entitled The Quickie. They put a twist into the read of Lauren's life as a great wife and detective that one day turns her own life inside out...One Quickie turns into a deadly one that Lauren's husband is left holding the bag and she does everything in her power to save him. The power that Lauren has to save her husband becomes powerless because of the desires, secrets and the consequence that's slowly drowns ... Read More
