Its a fabulous book.It really helped me know what to do with my labrador retreiver puppy!His method is kind, fair and effective.I would recommend it to anyone who is training a dog.

This is the best book on dog obedience I have ever read. My vet told me to buy it as my puppy has some issues.Everything I have tried from the book works like a charm.If you are thinking of getting a puppy buy this book first!If your dog has issues this is the book to buy!

I was dissappointed in this book. Information was too general. It seemed as if the author wrote a book summing up what any dog owner already knows.

I am getting a puppy rottweiler soon and thought this book would help with his arrival. The book has lots of great info from puppy to adult. I would recommend this book to anyone getting a dog. It is not breed specific but most stuff in the book applies to all breeds.

I grew up training animals in Idaho, especially horses and hunting dogs. When I got my first dog as an adult, while living in New York City, I bought several dog training books just to see what methods folks were recommending these days. This one was my favorite. It avoids 2 things which are really common: 1) training using rough methods, which is what I had learned and 2)the esoteric new-agey kind of advice very popular these days, which makes dog-training seem difficult or even like an inherent ...
