- Guaifenesin protocol debunked years ago
Guaifenesin doesn't work - it never did.The theoretical basis for the treatment is based on a false premise - that FMS is an "auto-immune" disease, and you need to detox.Well, guess what.It's not, and never was.
FMS is a neurological disease and Guaifenesin is just another placebo.
I know hundreds of people with FMS, and I don't know anyone "cured" or even helped by this protocol - not that many can actually follow it.

I have been on Dr. St. Amand's protocol for 4 years now. I have gone from practically bed ridden to quite functional with "a life". I have met people who have completely reversed the symptoms and I look forward to the day I can be among one of those. My internist, allergist, and chiropractor are believers. When I read this book for the first time, it made sense to me. The hard work is worth it. All other treatments only deal with symptoms. This one deals with the cause. Although the science has not ... Rating: - I don't believe it's the cure but definitely manages pain for me
I have been using guaifenesin to manage my FMS for many years.I don't believe it will cure it but it is ONLY thing that has managed it well.I believe that lymph fluid gets sluggish and pools in muscles etc.I believe that the FMS pain in the morning is caused by lymph fluid pooling and putting pressure on the nerves.I am considering putting my bed at an angle to help the flow.I sleep on an air mattress because a regular mattress even memory foam is to hard for me.Since I've been doing the ... I have suffered Fibromyalgia for 11+ years and was recommended this book by a fellow sufferer - my sister. The book is well written, informative, logical, explanative, easy to understand, and best of all if you follow the recommendations to the letter .................. IT WORKS!!!
I recommend reading the book, following the 3 phase protocol then diving in.
Unfortunately this is a cold turkey situation - if you can't or won't give 100% then you have only yourself to blame ... Read More
