- Very Compelling
A drug addicted virgin wrought with pain from his past needs love too! Phury's story is so raw and emotional, and his love story is not as full of happiness and horniness as others. I also really enjoyed the other stories presented. Rhev, Xhex, and the newly transitioned all have interesting stories and I can't wait for the next book. I think that about describes it all. Sorry so short!

I absolutely loved this book!JR Ward has done an outstanding job at weaving together many intricate stories that progressed nicely together.I'll be honest, Phury is not my favorite of the Brothers; he's way to self-destructive with a martyr complex to match.However, he is not unredeemable.If you are a diehard BDB fan, this book is a must read!This installment wasn't just about Phury, Cormia and the Chosen, but instead was portioned off with crucial scenes that will have effects on future ... As a fan of the previous books I found Phury's story lacking depth. There were too many other stories happening at the same time that I felt Phury & Cormina relationship just didn't get enough time to develop had no substance. The romance was unconvincing and virtually non exisitant. So them declaring their undying love was just not convincing in the least. I loved the first 3 books more focus was given to the main characters. How on earth can Phury fall in love with Cormia if they didn't interact ... Read More

As much as L-O-V-E this series I was left a little deflated by Phury's story.The romantic storyline between him and Cormia just didn't measure up for me.It was totally unbelievable and felt hollow in a way.

I think the fact that I've read the first 6 books in this series in 3 weeks should say it all, but I have more to add. I don't think I have quite enough words in my vocabulary to do this one justice, but I will try. Phury's story, to me, was the best so far. And they all just get better and better! There was so much going on in this story, and I got swallowed up in the story line. So much emotion, so intense, so fufilled my expectations and then some.
