- A must have for cat owners
I bought this book based on the reviews I read here at Amazon.I noticed that some people were displeased as the version they had bought was out of date, make sure you purchase the fully revised 3rd Edition, publication date 2008.
I used this book within weeks of buying it after we thought one of our cats had swallowed a q-tip!It was a great ready resource.The pictures are really clear, instructions easy to understand, and it really does cover virtually anything that may happen ... Read More

This book arrived without its jacket and came with complimentary coffee stain and everything, The book itself is fine to read but doesn't display well. However like the other 3 books I ordered that day the ad said shipping was $3.99 and I was charged $12.49. Too expensive won't be using this service again.

This is a wonderful reference book for any cat owner or anybody working at an animal shelter or clinic. From the simplest symptom to the most complex is listed. Quick reference of signs/symptoms listed on front and back inside covers for easy access.
Rating: - Best vet book ever
I started using the first edition of this book more than 20 years ago and the new edition is welcome. I am involved in cat rescue and these books have helped me save many animals. Every person that owns a cat should have a copy of this book for immediate reference. I gave one to my each of my daughters.

I breed cats and I found that this was an excellent book to have on hand.It is loaded with good information about general cat health, and also detailed information about how to treat your cat or kitten if they are having health issues.I gave another book to a beginning breeder friend of mine, and she loves it too.
