I am very pleased that I bought this book shortly after I purchased the camera.It is far better and certainly better organized than the manual that came with the camera. The quick start guide at the beginning of the guide does an excellent job of explaining each feature in brief while the remainder of the text goes into the necessary detail of how you can use them.I would rate my background/skill level at photography to somewhere between novice and moderate (years in the video business) and I found ... This is a Ok book guide (generally) but it needs to address basic picture taking; like how do set your camera to take : low light pics/ indoors and outdoors pics and so on. Some step by step how to instructions on how to take different types of pics. This is a field Guide that should have on the spot answers to how you set up or use the camera when taking any picture and give you a better idea on what to look for, a general feel of what will makes the picture better.
