I am surprised by the amount of positive reviews this book has received.In fact I have a hunch that the publisher may have payed people to write them...

I say this because this book is downright terrible.Sure the book is clean and cool, but the book offers nothing else except EXTREMELY lousy explanations and descriptions.It is written more as a reference than a introductory guide.

Ok so let me start with saying that Sybex books are great for studying. I say this because i had bought Mike Meyers A+ books.. but i didn't feel like i learned much. This books is clear cut and tells you what you need to know about the test. Ok so in this certain case, i bought this package that contains 3 books. But i only used the actual study guide. So i suggest that if you know your way with computers you really don't need all three books, just the study guide. NOW if your a newbie then these books ... Read More
Rating: - Great Tool for Preparing Yourself!
I bought this set because of the extra textbooks it came with are designed to help you prepare for real-world scenarios. I've used multiple A+ books over the years and I have noticed that they all seem to have small mistakes or typos. This is by far, the best I've seen with that in mind. Plenty of diagrams show you what it is you are reading about. I would recommend this to anyone looking to get A+ Certified.

4 out of 5 alot of things are recovered over and over but other than that a very good set. I will reread all of these books in the future
Rating: - Too Much Information
After reading these books, I had no problem passing 601 & 602 on my first attempt. I took the 2007 version of the exams in January 2009. Not sure why people are saying these books are outdated.The A+ exams are based on Windows 2000 and XP.If anything, the CompTIA certification is outdated.In my opinion these books cover about 95% of the exam.The only complaint I have is Way Too Much Information.
