- Best SharePoint book on branding a sharepoint site
Great book on how to construct a SharePoint site properly from ground up. Very helpful.

- Nice collection of nice to knows
It's a good book and you can tell the authors know what they're talking about but it's just a "nice to have" book. It's a bunch of SharePoint tips discussed in detail. You can find the same information in all the SharePoint related blogs for free.

I'm not all of the way through the book yet, but I've already applied much of the information in day to day practice and I'm kicking myself for not reading it before I published my first site!
My future sites will all benefit from the information contained here.

I like this book a lot but it has some issues. Some reviewes have noted that it is penned by multiple authors and this causes it to be kind of choppy. I believe that is a valid criticism but we need to consider that this book is not supposed to be your first SharePoint book but would be a very good second one. This is for people who have learned about SharePoint, maybe done a test deployment and want to really get their hands dirty with multiple aspect of the SharePoint technologies. If you are looking ... What a great book. It shows you how things are really done. Showing you examples from start to finish it is a great resources when planning or designing a sharepoint environment. What is best is that most chapters leave you with some many ideas not only from what is written but also what else the MVP's cover.
