Rating: - Good enough, not perfect
I pre-ordered this kit, studied, signed up for the test, and passed on the first whack. I followed pretty much the same program as David Tucker (a previous commenter on this product). You might also want to use the flash cards on the CD to memorize the port numbers and learn the acronyms, plus be sure to understand how crypto works and learn which algorithms are preferred to others and why (3DES or AES? MD5 or SHA?). Sorry, that seems obvious, but I can't say more without violating the NDA.

- This will get you through the exam.
The books tell you what you need to know and the whole kit is useful.I passed with an 830 first time.
Rating: - Does The Job
I just got back from my exam and passed with an 850 (out of 900 I believe).I used no other study materials other than these books and CDs, although I had some prior knowledge in the area of penetration testing (though no job experience).
My approach was this:
Read each chapter of the study guide.Do the 10 questions at the end of the chapter.If there are areas you seem to be having trouble with, go back and review them.
Read the entire review guide.

Very good book on basic concepts and practice test question.However there are some areas not cover for the exam or the concept is outdated for the 2007 objects.I do recommend this book and the "All In One Security Plus Certification by White" to cover the majority of concepts for the Security Plus exam.

From a high level overview perspective, the certification kit contains valuable content.However, when digging deeper, there are annoying technical inaccuracies throughout the text.For example, it indicates that the public key is utilized to digitally sign messages when it is actually the private key which is utilized for digital signatures.
