Rating:
- Excellent overview of topic
The author covered the basics of wedding photography quite well, with plenty of good advice for novice photographers who wish to consider wedding photography.
He even covers business issues to consider, to include the three types of wedding photography: photo-journalism, portrait, and the mix of the two.
Rating:
- Highly disappointed, most of the book is general photography
I bought this book because of all the very high ratings this book received. This was mostly a waste for me.
There is far too much basic information. Anyone going to shoot a wedding, should already be assumed to have a good basic grasp of work flow, how to load images to the computer (Really? - An A to Z Manual
The author starts off by saying this is not a manual to learn photography but a manual to learn how to photograph weddings. I shot a wedding the week after I finished the book and used it to capture every photos a bride could want. There are sections from lighting to handling brides which made my first wedding a piece of cake!

- Digital Wedding Photography
I wish I found this book 2 years ago when I photographed my first wedding. This book answers every question you ever had about digital wedding photography and brings up topics you didn't think of. Best money ever spent. I feel confident now to expand my business after reading this. Thanks Glen Johnson for such a wealth of information!

- The book lives up to his title
I reviewed this book for the first time on January 26, 2009. Today, May 18, I feel like improving my ranking from 4 to 5 stars. I still think that the book is not an easy reading, but it's the subject that is truly a difficult mission: HELP PEOPLE THINKING. Now, after having ground in my mind Michael's tips for several weeks, I have to admit that he mastered the topics with rare ability and profoundness. "The Photographer's Eye" is an endless source of sheer inspiration and a genuine spur to a different ... Read More
