- Worth the time
So many "self-help" books out there are skimmed through and read cover-to-cover only to be later seen as a disappointment when the book "didn't work for [the reader]."
This book requires time. The exercises are meant to be tried over and over until one can do them efficiently and effectively.
I have not finished reading and USING this book yet because I am taking the time to apply the principles and methods because I feel it is very worth my time. I dwell on what I feel ... Read More
Rating: - nice intro to NLP
Heard about NLP for years, but never really knew anything about it.This is my first introduction to it and I think it's a fantastic one.It was quick to read and gave me a good foundation of the basics of NLP.If you're interested in learning more about NLP, this is a great book.
Rating: - This program can change your life.
My personal testimony is that I have had a stuttering problem for more than 30 yrs and have always been shy and timid. The exercises in this book did more for me in days than what all of the motivational books, tapes, consultations did in 20-30 yrs!
Swish patterns and the new behavior generator worked wonderfully for me.

Many other books from the early pioneers of NLP are so filled with jargon and obtuse narrative, they are very difficult to use as a means of getting started in the subject of NLP. More so, they make it difficult to use NLP to get results. NLP: The New Technology of Achievement, provides an introduction to NLP which is both easy to absorb as well as effective. From the first section alone, I found myself calling friends to share the example exercises. The feedback was excellent from all.

I recommend this book on a scale of 8 out of 10, i bought this book for research (after overhearing what NLP stands for, the name was intriguing) on a quality certification i was doing for my company.
It has helped me and other members quite a bit on our day to day activities,behavior and interaction, other members "did not get it" or were afraid of personal change in a how to format, some of the exercises were complicated and lacked motivation, some more examples would be helpful.
