I used this for both my 6 week rotations of Inpatient Medicine.It is a great reference when you need to refresh your learning on topics of medicine.I think it is worth purchasing for anyone who wants to excel on their NBME Shelf Exams.

I got this one as well as Blueprints Medicine.
I would say this one is better than Blueprints, its a truly great book for studying. Perfect layout and nice key facts in the margins.

I'm a current 3rd year med student in the U.S. and recently completed my Medicine rotation. I bought this book because it seemed like it was so essential.I found that it was more useful as a reference book to read up about your particular patients than to study for the shelf, but then I guess that sort of is studying.
