Rating:
- Good, if it's your first (digital) photography book
I was not sure if I should give this book a 4-star or a 5-star rating. I did not regret buying it, although it's clearly targeting complete amateurs (i.e. people who just bought their first dSLR or even their first digital camera overall). There wasn't something to excite me too much, but there was nothing that disappointed me either. In general, I enjoyed reading it. If this is your first photography book, I would highly recommend it. If, however, you are aware of the basics and want something to ... Read More

- Great Resource for Learning about digital photography
Great book well written in simple easy to understand language.Does not focus on post production editing like most but explores valuable information like technique, composition, exposure and lighting. This is presented in a way that is informative without being boring.I recommend this book to everyone regardless of their level of skill.

- Great buy
Along with this book I also bought "Understanding Exposure" by Bryan Peterson and I have to say that this book teaches more than that book and it has graphs to help you understand better. I highly recommend it for people starting out as a new photographer that is trying to get off of Auto mode. I am still learning but this book is helping. Get it!

- A Christmas Gift that was a winner!
This was one of my son's Christmas gifts and he really thinks it is one fine book for beginners and even those more experienced in digital photography. He said it is easy to understand and the author gives some solid tips and illustrations.
