If you love the world's oceans and what lives in them, then this is a book for you! 500 pages of beautiful color photos and accurate information make this a must get for ocean lovers! I highlyrecommend this book!

If you are at all interested in oceanography & marine biology this book is a grabber. I first came across this book in our local library. Within an hour I had ordered a copy from Amazon to have for my own.It is a most comprehensive if not exhaustive on the subjects. Non-technical and wonderfully illustrated I keep it handy for constant enjoyment.

This book has sheer scope in its beauty and information with diverse range of life under sea in its exotic habitat with thought provoking sight into why people commercial fish salmon all over the world even though we need the ocean for its complex biodiversity which is health and maintance

Along with the absolutely wonderful, enrapturing photographs this book contains (the only thing better would be to really be there), it is informative, well-structured, and generally appealing. I have yet to find any inconsistancy in its information, and it offers an education in Oceanography in a very well-written way.
