Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - True love warms a cold heart.
Classic vampire stories bore me to tears; all that stuff that is supposed to be scary is just creepy and not in a good way. Then I discovered books featuring Gay vampires. From Dean James's hilarious stories set in a very proper English village to Michael Schiefelbein's monasteries, there is something for everyone. Ms Kersten's Lorcan knows how love can hurt and loosing one's lover can hurt even more. Refreshingly, Ms Kersten did not make Lorcan movie star gorgeous or with a "body to die for." Against ... Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - As HOT as the Cover.
Kersten was able to take an old tale and put a new twist on it. The imagery and word play were simply breathtaking. Where the twists and turns were expected, to me anyway, the book was still fantastically written.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Shayla the Great
This is my second review of this book. I wanted to write in and say that I absolutely loved this book. It was my first m/m book and I was not disappointed. Shayla has an eternal fan in me. The book is sexy, fast paced and a great read. It is also ideal for those who like vampire erotica and I have to admit looking at my reading history that I seem to be one! A great read, you will not regret buying this if this is your cup of tea.
