- Interpreting the Database
There's been a lot of discussion about Dr Hawkins' book. Whether you buy into "attractor fields", the science of kinesiology or such I have to state that I did enjoy this book. I won't endeavor to substantiate his findings but I did learn from his perspective on the relationship of awareness, consciousness, experience and the mechanics of perception.
The book can lean to a bit of clinical talk now and then but it's kept to a reasonable level. I didn't get distracted by the testing and ... Read More

Dr. Hawkins combines his clinical experience as a Psychiatrist with the mystical insights of an Avatar to explain human behavior.Phenomenal insights into spiritual growth.In particular, his comment that individuals with lower levels of consciousness "can't tell the difference between the truth and a lie" struck home.It explains how politicians can blatantly lie about their promises and still have thousands of believers.It also explains how people can look me in the eye and tell obvious lies ... I am in the process of readng Power v Force and am thoroughly impressed by its wide scope of knowledge and the arguments constructed.I think Dr Hawkins work is a must for anyone interested in self development and who cares for the planet we inhabit.

- Well Worth Reading With Some Warnings...
This book is very interesting and has merit from a consciousness theory point of view. I tried the testing technique outlined in the book and it seems to be pretty consistent. However, I feel there is danger in putting too much faith in such a simple test of the subconscious, especially if one does not use it wisely or uses it irresponsibly. One should rely on the Holy Ghost (or the Holy Spirit, the Higher Self or whatever the enlightened individual has come to call it). Prayer and Meditation do wonders ... Read More
