Rating:
- Excellent ideas and great instructions
This book has wonderful ideas and the instructions are illustrated with great pictures. This has been a really inspiring book for my artwork as well as for my students.
Rating:
- For those who want to 'create'
My sister and I are experimental, novice 'art quilters'. Meaning, we basically 'do our own thing'. We found this book covered a lot of techniques, many that we were not aware of! The techniques seem to be quite simple, a little bit different and can be tried using materials that most 'experimenters' will probably already have lying around the house.A great resource!!!
Rating:
- Strictly for beginners
This is a good book for beginners in the exploration of fabric art. Technique instruction is basic and sometimes simplistic. Actual depictions of the art do not "wow" me at all. Batik is not covered, and only one reference to dyeing.

- disappointed
i specifically wanted to learn to work with silk rods & cocoons. the pictures were uninspiring and very little info in the chapters other than not to let them soak too long or the worm would get soft. im not a fiber artist but the other projects seemed also very basic and some ive read in free online tutorials. this is the first time ive purchased a craft related book and could not find a reason to keep it but the cover artwork is nice.. tonya

The book was great in fine condition, almost new.The thing is I ordered two books in one day and got one in 3 days and the other in 2 weeks plus - don't understand.Of course I will keep the name of the one I got shortly.
I would have to say too long of time to ship.
