Rating: - An ok book but not for teens
I downloaded the audioversion of this book after reading the reviews.I don't like reading books with a lot of cursing and sex in them so I have been sticking to the young adult section thinking it would be safer.So I was pretty shocked when I had only been listening to the book for about 10 minutes before the fist f-word was used.Maybe I'm a prude but I really hate that word and it and other words were used far to often in this book.The story was pretty good, it took me a while but I did ... I bought this first book in the Vampire Academy series after seeing someone recommend it on a list of books for people who liked the Twilight series. When I started reading it, I immediately got sucked in and couldn't put it down!I stayed up late last night to finish it, and just ordered the next two in the series.

The world and characters that Mead has created are interesting and fun, and the novel pulls you along in a suspenseful way.

I read this book when it first came out but i hadn't written a review until i saw it here. Rose has a strong and very unique personality and she thinks like we all do (or should). i don't know what else to say about that book i ma sure you dont need a review but an opinion, i loved it Dimitri is gorgeous and so is Christian and Mason. I'm not going to go over the story, there are enough of reviews with that. What I will say is it took me a couple of chapters to get into. But once I got into it I couldn't put it down! If you liked House of Night or any type of young adult vampire books you will like this book. I really enjoyed that it didn't have the typical girl meets boy, they fall in love yada, yada, yada!
