I first saw this movie on television when I was a child. The story of the birth of Christ having always been my favorite in the Bible, I was thrilled to see it acted out. This movie gives you a 'what might have been' view of the lives of Mary and Joseph, something that the bible failed to give. Mary and Joseph where a young couple deeply in love, but the discovery of Mary's pregnency, plus Joseph's involvment with the Zelot's, almost drove them apart.
