This wants desperately to be an Airplane-like parody of inner-city African American gangsta movies. Instead, it offers us more turkey than we would find at any Thanksgiving spread. Unfunny, stereotypical, stupid, and crass, it was cowritten by Marlon and Shawn Wayans, both of whom should have known better. The two fare better as actors than writers, as they are almost amusing as hardened, dimwitted homeboys. As Ashtray, Shawn returns to his 'hood and hooks up with his best buddy (Marlon) before the two embark on a series of oh-so-wacky adventures. Siblings Keenen Ivory, Kim, and Craig Wayans also make appearances. If you really want a laugh, watch Booty Call. --Rochelle O'Gorman

- Very Funny!!!
This is a very funny film about growing up in 'da hood! The Wayans brothers are extremely funny. Shawn plays Ashtray, who wants to move out of the hood because of how violent it is. Him and his cousin, Loc Dog hang out with their homies, and at a party, Ashtray falls in love with Dashiki. (She's like the hood's bicycle, everybody has had a ride) Soon, Ashtray and Loc Dog try to survive a drive-by from Dashiki's old boyfriend. I highly recommend that you DON'T BE A MENACE TO SOUTH CENTRAL WHILE DRINKING ... Read More

- Best of the Best
The single funniest movie I've ever seen. Not even Friday holds a candle to this crazy comedy. Worth every penny.
Rating:
- Hilarious!
We laughed hysterically at this movie. The blacks making fun of their own kind made it so funny. It's nice to have it in our library to watch when we've had a rough day at work & want to laugh for a change. We can watch it over & over & still laugh.I recommend it for everyone's psyche.
Rating:
- Silly As Silly Gets
This movie is for those who enjoy slapstick or have a real silly side.If you don't have that urban sense of humor, you probably won't like this movie.
Rating:
- Only if you're a Fan of Gangsta rap, etc.
If you're not a fan of old school gangsta rap & hood films. This movie isn't up your alley b/c there isn't anything intelletual about it's satire & humor. You could appreciate the acting performances especially the Wayan's brothers & I guess the whole black stereotype in general but if you ain't down wit that then...it sucks. Personally it's an easy watch b/c it's short like all comedies (the average 2 hour movie length weighs on me to watch movies on a consistent basis, I have my phases but that's it) ... Read More
