Although it's a budget model, the JVC XL-FZ258BK five-disc carousel player still satisfies many requirements for ergonomic operation and quality sound reproduction. JVC equips the XL-FZ258BK with play exchange, which lets you change any four discs while one is playing. An optical digital output lets you record direct to CD-R or minidisc for pure digital copies and also facilitates integration with a surround receiver and home theater.

I have had this changer for approximately 5 weeks, past the Amazon 30 day return policy, unless stocking charges and shipping costs are paid by me.JVC will not exchange the unit but will repair it at their local authorized dealer.
At first, there were seldom, random skips, garbles, and lyric repeats.These have become more frequent and annoying.Pristine discs made no difference and changing the optical cable did not help.My ten year old Yamaha changer, it has drawer problems, ... Read More

This 5 CD changer works very well with my stereo system.There is a
clunking sound when you use the "random" function, and it changes from
one CD to another, but it isn't terribly annoying.There isn't a long
pause between songs, so you get a nice flow of music.Also, the sound
quality is rich and full.

Mine broke just about one month after the one-year warranty ran out. I am still trying to find someone to fix it.

I'm very happy with this cd-player.I can definitely hear more nuances and details in the music.So far, it is behaving beautifully, and I'm enjoying it a great deal.

THIS PRODUCT CAME IN IN 4 DAYS .IT WAS LESS EXPENSIVE THAN IN A LOCAL STORE . IT WORKS WELL .BETTER THAN THE SONY I HAD TO DISCARD.
I MUST MENTION THAT CD CHANGERS ARENO LONGER AVAILABLE IN BESTBY OR CIRCUIT CITY ANYMORE. I WAS RATHER SURPRISED AT THAT .. YET THEY ALL SELL CD'S .
I STRONGLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT AND THE QUICK SHIPPING THROUGH AMAZON.COM
