These Good Grips 12" Locking Tongs are brushed stainless steel with non-slip handles and comfortable thumb rests. Simply push the soft tab at the top of the Tongs to open them, and pull the tab to lock the Tongs closed for convenient storage. The length of these Tongs makes them perfect for barbecue.

- Handle Your Sausage in Style!
This is a good product. The thingie at the handle end pulls out to lock the tongs closed so they take up less space and store easier.
Get 'em, before you handle another sausage.

I recently purchased a pair of the 12" tongs to go along with a pair I bought from OXO a few years ago.First off, the new pair is noticeably lighter.Holding the 2 side by side it's clear that the new one is made less sturdy and feels flimsier.
While it's still one of the better tongs on the market for the price, I'm disappointed in the drop in quality.I've read that OXO has outsourced some of their products to China and it clearly shows as I have no doubt that my original OXO ... Read More

Bought these as a gift when old tongs fell apart. Love the OXO brand in general and usually buy them at Target or BB&B.These tongs are easy to lock and unlock and the grip handles are comfortable and do not move after washing in the dishwasher.Great overall and I'd recommend to others.

It is long enough and big enough to be useful for cooking in large quantities yet maneuverable enough for day to day use.
The rubber handles are comfortable and make the tongs easy to hold.The locking mechanism is simple and easy to use.The tongs are also sturdy yet light.One other good thing about these is that the rubber grips make them useful even when wet or for hot food.
