These powerful 8-inch kitchen shears are Henckels' premier model. They're balanced in the hand for a comfortable grip and are large enough to accommodate even thick fingers. Blades curve inward so the cutting action is smooth and exact. A steel-tooth inset in the handle opens bottle and other screw caps. A plastic cap on the screw securing the blades can be lifted so the shears may be taken apart for resharpening. Hand washing is recommended. --Fred Brack

These shears are sharp and cut through a lot of things with ease. I have big hands and they fit them well too.

I use these shears as an all purpose cutting tool.In addition to minimal cooking tasks,I use them for opening packages and other miscellaneous cutting jobs as they arise around the house.They remain sharp and are very well balanced.I am very pleased with the quality and pricing.

I am finally replacing a Henckels kitchen shears I purchased 12 years ago. Let's see if this one will last another 12 years. I use it for cutting chicken breast bones and fresh herbs, whilemy kids use it to cut their pizzas into smaller slices.I want to add that the new pair was very stiff to use and the metal piece in the handle for cracking things came off in the dishwasher. I called customer service, and they replaced it with a new one after I returned it to them.

I couldn't believe the low price on this Henckels' kitchen shears.I have used Henckels knives for over 25 years and know that the prices are a bit high.But you pay for the quality of the brand name.These Henckels' shears needed to have the extra-large finger loops.They are easy to take apart and wash -- which is a great thing because of all the salmonella around.

So far I am impressed with how well they cut.They fit my big hands fine.I think you have to hand wash these, but I did that with my stainless shears, anyway.
