This classic 6-inch utility knife is made from high-grade, rolled stainless steel and produced using Henckels's Sintermetal Component Technology. This process allows different grades of steel to be combined to form a single integral piece capable of withstanding extreme stress. The cutting edge features a special coating on one side that ensures prolonged sharpness without resharpening, and its full-length tang (the part of the blade that continues through to the end of the handle) gives you a better-balanced and stronger knife. Rating: - A Good Basic Kitchen Tool
This is my favorite kitchen knife.Although it's a midprice tool, it takes and holds a good edge, fits my hand nicely, and is well balanced.I find it's the first knife I reach for, for nearly every task.I've given one like it as a gift and gotten the same positive feedback from the recipient.It's an excellent value for the money, and when I buy knives, I look for more in this line.
Rating: - Great knife
This size knife is the one we use most often in the house.Have another Henckel knive of obviously lower quality. Can't believe there are better knives then this.Only had to sharpen it once(used manual sharpening stone), took even better edge then from the factory.This one is made in Spain - not Germany - but quality is superb.Maybe I will buy one of their made in Germany ones(twice the price) so I can compare.Will probably buy the rest of the set after this comparing.

I finely got the set together after getting this knife. Boy what a great set of knives. Talking about sharp. You have to be real careful with these knives especially if you have been using dule knives in the kitchen. Me and my wife have cut ourselves with these knives many times. They are razor sharp andeasy to keep that way.

I received my utility knife several weeks ago ande was so pleased with it that I ordered one more for myself and some for my family members.I first noticed the weight and suspension of the knife and felt it to be excellent. I find thatwhen carving and chopping that is important. I also like the lengthofthe 16 inch blade for all my uses.

The knife I purchased had a smaller handle than I expected; however, it cuts wonderfully.
