Product Description:
For those who aren't familiar with the term ebleskiver, they are delightful small and spherical pancakes sometimes filled with fruit or nuts, and adored by Scandinavian folk. You can use a basic pancake recipe, or one provided with the pan, and you can get creative with adding other ingredients, powdering with sugar after baking, and so on. In any case, if you want to make ebleskiver, you must have a traditional ebleskiver pan.
Amazon.com Review:
Scandinavians love the spherical little pancakes known as ebleskiver. Countless "traditional" recipes for them exist, but any old pancake recipe will do, including prepackaged pancake mix and concoctions beginning with cake mixes. Shape defines ebleskiver, not ingredients, and only an ebleskiver pan delivers. Safe on gas or electric stovetops, this one is made from heavy cast aluminum so it won't warp. And it's nonstick, to make flipping the pancakes easy and cleanup a snap. (For authenticity, turn ebleskiver with a knitting needle.) Its wood handle stays cool and adds a rustic touch. There's a notch on the handle's end for hanging on a hook or peg. --Fred Brack

- Electric glass top stove owners beware
Since I had a ceramic top stove, I took a chance and got this pan. The bottom of the pan is pretty rouch and inspite of (painfully) exercising extreme caution while using, it scraped my new stove top. Not worth it. I am returning mine.
I am so disappointed -- doesn't anybody care about glass-top-owning, ebelskiver-loving folks? :(

- Love this pan!
I am thrilled with this pan. I love ebelskivers made with a square of dark chocolate! I've tried fresh fruit, jam, jelly and chocolate fillings so far. I use two wooden skewers to flip the pancakes. Followed someone's tip to use Hungry Jack pancake mix, and went out on youtube to watch videos about making ebelskivers! I treat this pan with loving care because I do not want to scratch the finish.

- Nonstick Finish Doesn't Stick
I bought this pan last year and just used it for the first time this morning and am very disappointed in the quality of the nonstick surface. While cleaning the pan with a cotton dishcloth (yes, cotton!!!), the nonstick surface started to scrape off where butter had come in contact with the top surface of the pan, right next to the wells. We all know the nonstick surface chemicals are dangerous when ingested, so when I asked Amazon for a refund, they said I was past the one month window for returns. ... - Works great!
We purchased this pan because friends of ours made aebelskivers for us when we were visiting them recently. We
thought they were a good change from regular pancakes. The fact that you can use them in other ways than just pancakes was great. We were a little concerned because our friends have a gas range and ours is a glass top, but it worked just fine.

- Easy Ebleskivers!
This is a very well made product, the non-stick coating allows you to turn the ebleskivers easily. I used chopsticks and it was effortless. The skirt around the pan helps hold in heat and distribute it evenly. Good buy!
My husbands family is Danish and he grew up eating ebleskivers. After 10 years I decided to get this and learn to make them..I was worried it would be difficult, it was soooo easy! Ebleskivers are basically Danish pancakes, I have used Bisquick and an egg to make them in a ... Read More
