Delonghi RT400 4-Slice Retro Toaster
from: DeLonghi America, Inc
Product Description:
It's got style, it's got substance, it's the sleek retro styled toaster from De Longhi, the renowned Italian appliance company, with room for 4 slices of bread in its extra long, extra wide slots. This is one appliance to which you won't begrudge valuable counter space.
Amazon.com Review:
Elvis would have loved this toaster. With a brushed-metal finish like a customized '57 Chevy, chrome lift-levers and browning-control knobs, and control dials like old-time radios, it's lovingly and wittily retro. Functionally, however, it's 21st century. Four large slots, each 5-1/2 by 1-1/4 inches, handle bagels, English muffins, and thick gourmet breads as well as conventional bread. Slots are paired, each pair with its own lift-lever and browning control. Push a button, and bagels or English muffins toast only on one side. Push another button, and frozen bread automatically toasts a little longer to account for defrosting time. Slide open a crumb tray on the side and clean up with no hassle. At 12 by 11 by 8 inches, it's not compact, but, as was said about Elvis, when you've got it, flaunt it. --Fred Brack

Delonghi products in my opinion are garbage...this toaster just died after 1 year.Never toasted correctly, always needed 2 cycles. It has not been heavily used as it is just for my wife and I.
Also have a Delonghi kettle that started leaking in 8 months.
Looks good...for what that is worth.

- Not worth the money
I was given this toaster as a gift last Dec. Now 8 months later I am throwing it away. One side does not pop up and burns and the other has to be at the darkest setting and cooked twice to give it any color. When I contacted DeLonghi I was told their warranty was for 1 year but could not help me without a receipt. So buyer beware keep your receipt you are going to need it.

We've had this toaster for about two years now and have been quite pleased with its performance. The "look" was our main motivator when we decided to buy this one, but it has proven to be quite the workhorse in our non-Atkins Diet household of four.
