I had been looking, for some time, for a double-boiler to make German rice like my Aunt does.This was a recipe from my grandmother who passed away before I was born.I was very pleased with how easy this was to work with.I really appreciate the classic look and feel of this cookware. It has a good weight and is very easy to clean. Faberware has been around for a long time and I think they really got it right again.

If you like the kitchen, this is a pan you must have.Found many butwere pricier than what I wanted.Gave this one a try and very happy with the results and they way it has maintained itself.

I haven't had a double boiler in ages and am so glad I finally purchased one from Amazon. Some probably use their double boilers as an alternative pan to cook in, but I don't.I use it strickly as a double boiler and I own a microwave too.In my opinion, you can't go wrong with Farberware products and you won't have to sell the family jewels to own a whole set either!

It is cheap but works well. It's thicker than I expected. You can use two pieces together but you can use them separately. In fact, I use them separately more often rather than together. In that way, you have two sauce pan!
