With the high expense of electricity, it can be costly to turn on a full-size oven for quick toasting and browning tasks. This toaster oven is a simple answer to keep electrical costs down. Use it for toasting bagels that don't always fit in a conventional toaster, or for melting cheese over a favorite sandwich. It can even be used for browning the tops of individual meringue tarts. Standing 13 inches high by 9 inches wide by 8-1/2 inches deep (including the handles), it obviously doesn't require too much counter space. - The nearly perfect toaster
Why? Because it makes perfect toast. The large front window is nicely positioned to monitor your breakfast breads so you can pull them out when it's exactly the way you like it.
The bagel mode is a little controversial. It only lights the center element. The idea is to only toast the open side of the bagel and not cook outer, crusty side. It's there if you want it, and you might think it's the innovation of the century. I think it adds clutter to the controls, but then I want everything to ... Read More

This Sanyo (space saver) Toaster oven was purchased to replace the Sanyo model that I have used for 30 YEARS (The old one still worked fine, in fact I passed it on to a friend), but the "Bagle-Best" was a little larger and had more features... Great Product / Highly recommended.

Love the vertical shape as I have little counter space.I looked at sooo manysmall toaster ovens which were poorly made. The manufacturing quality of this little oven is far above the others.I have been away a lot and haven't hadtime to use it for for baking or reheating.( that's the only reason Igave it 4 stars instead of 5 )It makes great toast though.

I got mine when I was in school 20 years ago!Recently my mother-in-law was commenting on how much she liked it, but she couldn't find it.I can't believe they still make it!It will be a great Christmas surprise for her.I'm not getting one for myself, because mine is still working just fine!Great product.
