- Man up people
For starters, this is a very fun and challenging game.It is one of my favorite games because of that.I personally feel that people give this game a bad review simply because they can't handle it.I am a fan of a wide variety of games, mainly the Zelda series and rpg's like Final Fantasy. No one can actually play this game and give it anything less than 5 stars for any reason, (unless of course you are terrible at this game and are expecting something incredibly easy like the first Zelda and ... - Better Than The Original
Hit or miss with everyone. Heres the deal: side scrolling games only existed for a short while. If Zelda had never ventured into the side scrolling genre, people would always have wondered what Zelda as a side scroller would have been like, if Zelda had played a little like Mario. And contrarywise, if Zelda 2 had just been a rehashed copy of the original, it would have been stale, and A Link To The Past might not have been as good.

- Hard, but Difficulty does not affect game quality
The last 8-bit zelda game to made, Zelda II is referred to by most zelda fans I know as the HARDEST zelda game of all time. It is absolutely hard, but it makes it that much more rewarding when you beat it. For the time, It had decent graphics, gameplay is simple... if you use a walkthrough, and the only side scrolling zelda game on a nintendo console that exists.
Overall, it's ok, it isn't my favorite zelda, but atleast you aren't playing the zelda games on the cd-i.

- Good, but the first one is better.
This game is a lot different from the original Zelda. Unlike the first one, which was a top view adventure game, this game shifts genres to an RPG with side scrolling combat and dungeons. For its time it was quite innovative, and in some ways helped lay the foundation for future role playing games. However, as a Zelda game it just wasn't quite the game that a lot of fans were hoping for. It's still a good game though, and it's a must have for any NES collection. And if you're hardcore, you'll get ... Read More

- Still a classic
Although many hated this game as it mainly was a side scrolling adventure, this game was one of my favorites when i was younger and the difficulty was harder then the original as I had trouble with the last 4 temples, mainly the great palace. It kept with the original though as once you finally beat it another second story began with you haveing all your magic spells at the start of the game. Since the game was remade on the GBA i went out and bought myself a copy so i could place my nes one away ... Read More
