- NOTE THE PICTURE CAREFULLY
A nice mixer.It's quiet. But ... Lefties Beware!This is a right-handed mixer. The cord is on the right side. As I am left-handed the cord is constantly stretched across my mixing bowl, getting messy. Or, if I bring it front or back of the bowl I seem to always knock something over.I'm actually looking forward to a defect, so I can justify buying a different -- left-hand friendly -- mixer.

Most of us don't really need a large stand mixer and this little number will take care of day to day needs. It is quiet and powerful--really does a nice job. I compared it to the Cuisinart models and the beater eject button on the KA seemsmore substantial than the Cuisinart. Not cheap, but I have learned that sometimes quality is not cheap--you really do get what you pay for. I am looking forward to using this mixer for many years.

This is one powerful little mixer and it can easily out perform all the other hand mixers I have used.I love the on/off button as well as a seperate speed button.It makes life so much easier.
I do have the large stand mixer by KitchenAid also but you don't always need something that big and that's where this comes in just perfectly.Seven speeds that will make it easy to go from just blending to a really good whip.Oh and you should see the egg whites you can beat with this baby. ... Our Kitchen-Aid 450W counter-top mixer is big and bulky so we decided to pick up this hand-mixer to get the job done quicker. We've been using it for 4 months and it does the job. Good strength and good power. Great price. I notice that some Amazon reviewers are expressing reliability concerns with this product. If anything happens to our hand mixer, I'll update this review and adjust my 5-star rating accordingly.
