This thing is so handy! We used it to sharpen a very old butcher knife to cut up meat. Sliced through a seven pound roast in 2 swipes! This worked wonders on our machette and axe! So happy with this purchase!

I received a automatic sharpener as a gift last christmas. This does a much better job and is easier to use. Not to mention it is also much cheaper. The automatic sharpener I would never use on my expensive knives just the cheapo ones. This sharpener I have no problems with using it on my expensive knives.

I've used sharpeners before where you kind of grind your knife against this stone thing on a handle, and I never really got good results. Then I tried this out and "Wow!" it makes things sharp. I used this on all my knives and I can tell the edges are a lot sharper than when I used any other sharpeners. It's super easy to use as well. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who needs a sharpener.

AccuSharp 001 is good for putting an edge back on a knife. I prefer a sharper edge for tomato prep. I hone my knives with a good ceramic "steel" after running the accusharp,it will put that razor edge on your knives.
