Weber's kettle barbecue rotisserie includes a heavy-duty electric motor, a wooden rod handle, and (more importantly) a counterbalance for smooth turning and less motor wear. When your turkey is too heavy for the rotisserie, the rotisserie turns until the heaviest part of the bird gets to the top of the rotisserie. To prevent this problem, just slide the counterbalance up and down on its handle until your turkey turns smoothly and gently, grilling to a delicious golden brown. I've had this rotisserie about 4 months now. I second all the other reviewers' raves about how well chicken, roasts, etc. turn out on this rotisserie. Its also pretty simple to clean up. I've also done a leg of lamb on it and got great results. Quality not as good as one I had years ago. Doesnt fit snuggly as the old one did, and it rocks a bit. Haven't used it yet, but should work ok

and the spit rod was bent at the groove by the wooden handle.
i took it to work and put it in our monster vice.

its straight now.

the ring and motor were not damaged.

this is a boy toy for sure.

my very broke in webers now have a new playmate.
