With a 2-3/4-inch bottom that fits most vehicle drink holders, this lightweight mug makes hot coffee, tea, or chocolate available on the road. Hot beverages stay hot for at least 1 hour. Cold beverages stay chilled for several hours. Twist the finely threaded stopper tight, and the mug won't leak even if it's knocked over. Twist it about a quarter-turn and drink out of either side--lips on both sides make it easy--without removing the stopper. Made of stainless steel and tough plastic, with a rubber inset inside the handle for comfort and a rubberized ring around the body for a firm grip, the mug is handsome and virtually unbreakable. - Totally awesome - this is not hyperbole
I am, literally, in awe everytime I use this mug. I put hot water and tea in at 7:15 am and close it. I open it at 10:15 and it's still hot...not like "oh so so" hot, but "OH SO SO HOT".
Also, if you stick it in the freezer for a few minutes and then fill it with ice cold (liquor), you can have a frosty cocktail in the parking lot of your favorite concert, even if it's a few hours away. 8) don't forget the chaser. No ice necessary.

I bought this cup four months ago. It worked great, the coffee stayed hot, and only occasionally would it leak. But the lid would get stuck from time to time, until it broke in half, making the cup unusable.

On the plus side, this keeps liquids hotter than anything I've ever used. If closed tightly it really does not leak.
But closing it isn't the problem. It can form a pretty tight seal and to grasp and turn the very smooth ridge on the top can require dexterity, especially if your hand or the top is wet.
Also, the lip is not flat, but curves up on either side, presumably to facilitate drinking without spilling. But it means you have to be very careful if you want to put anything on top, ... Read More

We purchased two of these mugs for use in our motorhome.We were tired of all the cheap mugs we had bought or had been given over the years as promotions, and decided to spend the money on what we hoped would be top-quality mugs.I'm happy to say that they were definitely worth the investment!
