Amazon.com Review:
Cuisinart's PowerPrep Plus gives new meaning to the term"cutting edge." This premier kitchen workhorse is streamlined, so thebase (which measures 9 inches wide by 11 inches deep) looks less boxyand the processor more sleek and unobtrusive than ever on the counter. In addition, the rounded shape makes cleaning easier--no more stickycrevices and corners. But it's more than just looks that put thePowerPrep Plus in a league of its own. The 14-cup work bowl has a hugecapacity, holding up to 3 pounds of bread or cookie dough or more than2 pounds of meat, which means less parsing out of batches and moreconsistent mixing overall.
Also, the wide-mouth feed tube gobbles up whole fruits and vegetables, which means less prep work. The powerful direct-drive induction motorbase has touchpad controls with indicator lights and a specialalternate speed for bread kneading. This model comes with all the basicaccessories, including slicing and shredding discs, a chopping/mixingS-shaped blade, and the fabulous PowerPrep metal dough blade (all arestainless steel), plus a plastic spatula, recipe and instruction books, and a 45-minute how-to video--complete with pizza dough secrets fromthe Culinary Institute's chef-instructor Bill Briwa. The 2-1/2-footcord can be wrapped underneath, and all detachable parts aredishwasher-safe. --Erin Brown
Editor's Choice: With its powerful motor and large capacity,Cuisinart's 14-cup food processor is our choice for the best foodprocessor over $300. This food processor, suitable for catering andrestaurant use and for the home chef of a large family, features adirect-drive induction motor, 14-cup plastic bowl, and comes withslicing and shredding discs, a chopping/mixing S-shaped blade, and ametal dough blade (all blades are stainless steel). This is a fairlyheavy and sturdy machine--the base measures 9 inches wide by 11 inchesdeep--but its streamlined design is classy enough that it looks nice onthe counter. Its wide-mouth feed tube allows for quick loading, and thetouchpad controls are not only easy to use, but also easy to clean. Thecontrols also include a special alternate speed for bread kneading.

- A Real Time Saver
I know the 14 cup capacity is large compared to what is generally available but well worth it when doing large grating and chopping jobs. We have not had this unit very long but it has saved us a tremendous amount of time in our everyday food prep. The large mouth feed tube is great for whole potatoes when grating.I would definetly recomend this unit to anyone.I have had smaller less powerfull units in the past and I would never go back to those. The construction seems solid with assembly and ... - Simply the BEST!!
I have owned Cuisinart food processors for the past 30 years, and by far, the DLC2014N has been the best. In particular, the large feeding tuble allows for whole tomatoes, onions, potatoes etc to be beatifully processed. As another reviewed mentioned, this puppy is a workhorse and is used every day of the week!
One reviewer mentioned that the machine "moves" when on...no problem, simply put one of those rubberized tyupe drawer liners underneath. Problem solved.
I highly recommend this ... Read More

I have had a Cuisinart Food Processor for years and have enjoyed it vey much.So much that this is the third one I have purchased for another grandchild's wedding gift.

- Love my PowerPrep!
I was skeptical about the new 'look' of this processor (I love the classic lines of the boxier old model) but the easy to clean lines and touch-pad are wonderful.Plenty of power, heavy duty blades, large capacity etc -really a work-horse!

- For The Serious Cook
I am a working mom who loves to cook but my time is limited. This 14 cup processor is great for me because I can do large or double batches of most anything and save time (I have the professional 6 quart KitchenAid mixer if that tells you anything). The first day I got it I had just been given a large bag of sweet potatoes and I made filling for 2 sweet potato pies in one batch. I had purchased and returned a KitchenAid processor because I had a problem with liquids leaking out the bottom (the center ... Read More
