Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Best knife I've ever had...
I purchased this knife a little over a year ago, and it has been a total workhorse for me.I do some catering, and have used this knife to trim and slice 10 briskets without giving it a rest and it held up wonderfully, didn't overheat and was just as sharp when I finished as when I started. It works great for meats, breads and delicate items like angel food cakes.I LOVE this knife. If it ever quits, I'm buying another just like it immediately.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Works As Described
Mother-in-Law has been using one of the first electric knives invented. Probably used it to cut up dinosaur meat. She really likes the grip and efficient cutting. If she likes it then it's a winner.

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Good bread cutting, terrible ergonomic design.

The overall blade is longer after the cutting guard so it can be mounted on the handle.Unfortunately, I do not have the meat blades, so cannot tell you the ... Read More

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - quality knife except for cheap gears that stripped
I like the Cusinart CEK-40 electric knife. But after using it about 10 times the gears that active the cutting portion of the knife were stripped.this was with normal wear and tear. For a product that costs $50, you would expect it to be much more durable than this.I am truly disappointed with this product.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Does a fine job
Some have complained about the blades separating under load.I suspect anyone that tries to "saw" or "push" their way into a piece of dense meat will find out the design's weakness, but that is not how an electric knife is supposed to be used.Just be patient and let it cut on its own with light pressure applied and it works fine. No electric knife will ever take the place of a good set of regular knives, but there are instances where an electric knife is exactly what is needed. This knife does ... Read More
