A great album with hit songs and includes my personal favorites: sparks, yellow, and trouble. Coldplay albums never seem to disappoint!

What can I say. I love Coldplay and they can do no wrong. I love 99% of all the songs on their albums including this one. Just wishing to see them in concert wasn't so expensive. Jeez!

I have 3 of Coldplay's CD's and I must say "Parachutes" definitely beats the other two hands down. Favorite tracks include "Don't Panic", "Shiver", and "Trouble.

- Great body of work, needs to be remastered!
Coldplay's Parachutes is a great body of work!! I would have given it 5-stars, but the sound quality of this CD needs improvement with a serious remastering. Coldplay is not a bass-heavy band, but most of the glaring flaws are in the lower frequencies. Some songs(#2!) sound horrible on transparent systems where they should be magical, it's such a shame because the music is soooo good. For new listeners/fans, I would not let these issues prevent a purchase. This album is brilliant, a classic...which ... Read More

Why don't I like this album?There are three reasons.First, the guitar work is always reminiscent of something else--but you can't put your finger on it!Where is that jangly lick from?It's thievery, for sure, but not all the evidence is there.
Second, what is up with those gravelly old vocals?If you're going to have a guy singing--and already, this is probably a mistake--for Pete's sake, let him belt out a few.Let's hear some shout or some snarl.Not just talking into a microphone. ... Read More
