Rating: - Cowboy Bebop Rocks!
This is the soundtrack for the Japanese anime "Cowboy Bebop." Even if you have never seen that worthy series, that is still no reason not to listen to the music created for the show. Yoko Kanno is a sophisticated and inventive composer; crossing many musical styles and excelling in each. The band is known as "The Seatbelts" and they do a wonderful job on every piece, from the serious to the silly. Check it out, you won't be sorry :)

I bought this album for the track Tank! and that alone was worth the money for me. I would say if you like jazz and blues you would like this album even if you know nothing about coyboy bebop.
Rating: - Pleasing Surprise
When watching the series, my favorite episodes were Jupiter Jazz Parts 1 & 2.I really liked the story and fell in love with the music.So I hunted down the OST and "Space Lion", the song of smooth blues and native American sounds.
Thankfully I really like the rest of the CD too.Cat Blues, Egg and I, and Rain are probably my other favorites.

Cowboy Bebop O.S.T. 1 is a fantastic mix of a variety of genres: Jazz, blues, country western, industrial, electronica, lullaby, noir, and others.Of all the original soundtracks to this great anime, I rank this one the best, because it has more of a space cowboy feel to it.The other soundtracks are good as well, but they lack the cohesive, open frontier exploration of this disc.
The only track I cannot listen to is "Rain."I do not understand its inclusion, as the music is lame, ... Read More
