Functional as well as beautiful, this 1-quart saucepan is made of heavy 18/10 stainless steel polished to a mirror finish. The pan has an aluminum core in its base to spread heat quickly and evenly. The core is completely clad in stainless steel so, like the rest of the pan, the bottom resists corrosion and discoloring and cleans up easily. Thick rolled rims add durability and make it possible to pour from the pan without dripping. I have All-clad, cast iron, you name it. But now, with just the two of us, this is my "go to" pan for everything from oatmeal to soup to veggies. Love it and highly recommend. Good even heating and easy clean up in the dishwasher.
Rating: - Do not pour hot liquids
My wife and I just bought this Saucepan a few weeks ago. On the positive side, it is well made with nice materials and seems to be very durable. On the other side, when the water is boiling and you pour the water to a cup (for example) the water in contact with the wall of the pan start to evaporate and sprinkles VERY HOT WATER. Saucepans with Teflon cover inside do not do this. I think this happens with all Saucepan with bare metal finish inside. We should not bought this pan.

Purchased for son who wanted a good quality saucepan that was dishwasher safe.Farberware is durable.I have had my set for 30 years.Liked the option of purchasing one saucepan rather than an entire set. Excellent price and free shipping too.

I received a Farberware set as a wedding gift in 1959.I still have all the pots and they still look and cook great.
