I returned this mower but I still gave it 4 stars because I think it was my fault for trying to use it on far too big of a yard (10,000sq ft).
PROS:It is powerful and cuts well.The height adjustment is very simple.The motor starts and stops very easily.The mower itself is very lightweight.
CONS:Plastic handle for power felt flimsy like it might break eventually.
I can only recommend this for very tiny yards.Maybe 3,000 sq ft max.The cord is simply ... Read More

I have owned Black and Decker electric mowers for 28 years. The first one I bought used for $25 and it lasted for twenty years.The second one (MM675) lasted four and the engine belched gray smoke. I used the MM875 in October 2008 to mulch leaves-fair, not great at that-then it belched gray smoke this June 2009.I HATE the height adjustment lever on this one-it is very hard to see-and strongly recommend if you do Black and Deckeryoufind a model with a simple lever you can see to adjust height settings. ... My 18-yr old Ariens lawnmower has just about bitten the dust. The deck rusted through and I had to resort to duct tape to patch it up. So I started to research lawn mowers and saw this model at the top of the electric push mower ratings in Consumer Reports. I checked with my wife (to avoid the potential 'I told you so' - moment), and got her blessing to go electric.
We have less than 5000 sq ft of lawn, and today, I tried it out for the first time. First impressions count in my book; but, I do plan ... Read More

Don't do it. I know it's cheap, but their service centers are far apart and your repair is a low priority.I had to switch out the battery, which was expensive, and then it broke down. If you do buy it, don't bother taking it in, just get a new mower.

Black & Decker Corded Electric Lawn Mower - This item was shipped very quickly.I received it in good condition. Assembly was minimal and we used the mower the same day we received it.It works as advertised and does an excellent job of cutting.Also, the 4 wheel, one handle, adjustment feature is great.And conversion from mulching mower to bagging mower was very much easier than my previous mower.All in all, a great buy.
