Amazon.com Review:
The bestseller among All-Clad's renowned cookware collections, the Stainless line provides serious and professional cooks with all the virtues that make All-Clad's worldwide reputation unsurpassed. Key to its high performance is a three-ply, bonded construction. Sandwiched between the exterior and an 18/10 stainless-steel interior is a thick aluminum core that spreads heat evenly across the bottom of the pan and all the way up its sides. The interior is 18/10 stainless steel, highly polished so it's stick- as well as stain- and corrosion-resistant. The exterior is gleaming, magnetic stainless steel that works on induction as well as conventional stovetops and, with care, remains beautiful during this cookware's lifetime warranty against defects--and beyond.

This classic, versatile 3-quart saucier pan has rounded sides, increasing the amount of food the pan can contain relative to the diameter of its bottom. Because the aluminum core extends up the sides, foods cook uniformly in the pan, even though it's 3-1/4 inches deep. And because the interior is nonreactive, tomato-based pasta sauces and other acidic foods won't taste metallic. Its polished 18/10 stainless-steel pan and lid handles are riveted for strength and grooved on the top for comfort. The long handle (holed for hanging on a hook or peg) stays cool on the stovetop but won't be harmed by an oven's highest heat. Although Stainless cookware is dishwasher-safe, hand washing is recommended. --Fred Brack

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - 1qt - Very Handy
I love the small 1-qt saucier. The size is right for cooking small amount, such as making sauce, boiling vegis, heating up milk and roasting nuts for salads, etc.I find this saucier is better because of the rounded corner than the traditional 1-qt saucepan.

The reason not to be a 5-star is that this small saucier has no lip for pouring, but I do not mind it that much.

I bought this 1-qt with a deep discount; therefore, I am satisfied with not only the all-clad quality ... Read More

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Ah, All-Clad...
I bought this to be a quick-heat single-serving pot because my Le Creuset just takes too long to boil a can of soup.As a result of using it over "medium" heat, the bottom is beginning to discolor, but I am still very happy with this purchase.I do appreciate that it's made in the USA, but the reason to buy All-Clad is that it's just a little bit better than the other pans you could buy.My friends with the copper core All-Clad pans get better performance, but you can't go wrong with aluminum core ... Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - 5.5 qt - great for much of what I cook
I'd coveted a friend's 3qt but didn't feel right buying a piece of cookware just because it was so lovely and well shaped.Luckily I received the 5.5 qt version as a present and at first I thought it would be impractical, I didn't need anything that large, but I was wrong.

I like to braise meats which often means several steps of browning, then deglazing, then adding liquid and cooking in the stovetop or oven.I've got a large heavy enameled dutch oven that I used to use but it always felt ... Read More
