Editorial Review:
Long before TV shows like Battlebots, there were these guys: twoplastic boxers battling it out in a ring, tirelessly jabbing at each other in an effort to knocktheir opponent's block off. Years go by and these fighters (creatively referred to in myhouse as "the blue one" and "the red one") are still at it, still operated by two playersworking simple controllers, and still madly punching in an effort to knock loose the otherfellow's spring-loaded head. As was traditionally the case, it takes a while to maneuverthe robots such that you can even land any punch, let alone a knockout blow. But forintense silly robot fighting, without the hassle of batteries, these guys are still champs.--John Moe

- Not So Much Fun
We had this game as kids so was excited to still find the Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots for my daughter.Well when we received it the Robots were much smaller than the original and they barely touch each other when they are punching. The kids tried to play it a few times but were disappointed. After 2 years I have had enough. It is going in a rummage sale.

I don't remember as a child it being that difficult to knock the other guy's block off.Sometimes I have to hold the other with my hand and repeatedly punch at the chin to get the 'block' up.Frustrating . . .but fun!

BOY! Talk about bringing back memories! My husband and I are both over 50 and we still love this game. While it is not educational in the least , it is loads of fun. Almost any age can play. So if you have kids ( or even if you don't ) I think you should try this game, I don't think you will be disappointed.

- Big disappointment
I've never played or seen the original but had heard how fun it was so I bought this new version for my 9 year old.We have had it now for 6 months and I am fed up with it to the point that it is being thrown out today. I comes apart very easily and I find pieces of it scattered all around the house. The rope never stays in place, robots come off easily from their stands, it is not sturdy.Sons complain that they have to bang the buttons with their fists and even then the heads sometimes don't ... I don't feel this is an educational toy at all, but my son enjoys it a lot.
